My Best Friend’s Kitchen was developed by two busy sisters, Kathie Riley and Sandy Givins. We found ourselves always coming back to the same discussion: “How can we save time and money, and what are we going to do for dinner?”

“Kathie loves to cook!” and the business started with that simple statement. She loves everything about cooking: creating the recipe, grocery shopping, the cutting and prep and yes, even the actual cooking.

While visiting a friend in Arizona several years ago, Kathie first became familiar with the meal preparation business. Her friend is a working mom with two businesses, a husband and four small children. She was using this meal prep business to make meal time easy at her house and to free up some additional time to spend with her family. Kathie had the opportunity to go along with her friend and observe the business operation herself. From that day, she was hooked on the idea. What a concept! In less than two hours and for about $225.00 they assembled twelve dinners that her friend took home to put in her freezer to feed her family of six. And it was fun! Really fun!

That was two years ago, and the desire to introduce this type of business in Florida became a goal of Kathie’s. Capitalizing on her strength in cooking and servicing others Kathie added the fun of spending time with friends to the tedious task of meal preparation, shopping and clean up.

It is her belief that customers will love coming to “My Best Friend’s Kitchen” having all the prep work and grocery shopping already done for them so all they have to do is make the easy, delicious meals and take them home. There’s not even any clean up!

In May of 2007, Kathie and Sandy made the decision that the time was right to take a huge leap of faith and open My Best Friend’s Kitchen, the first food prep kitchen in the Panama City area. They began brainstorming, experimenting, and developing a menu of meals that are delicious, nutritious, and easy to take from the freezer to the dinner table.  In doing so, lower grocery bills were soon realized, time spent on dinner preparation (and kitchen cleanup!) was dramatically cut, and family enjoyment and nutrition were enhanced. Dinner time again became enjoyable and not an additional point of stress in an already stressful life.  My Best Friend’s Kitchen opened and began offering an easy path to delicious, fresh, and quick dinners for your family.
