What is My Best Friend’s Kitchen?
We provide everything – the recipes, the ingredients, and the containers – needed to prepare delicious kid friendly dinners. Arrive at My Best Friend’s Kitchen, assemble your dinner and leave the mess in our kitchen. We make meal time less stressful by providing a more convenient way for you to create home cooked meals. In just 2 hours you can make 12 meals to take home and place in your freezer; or in 1 hour you can make 6 meals.

How does it work?
Go to our website or come by our store in Lynn Haven to choose the items you would like to make. Place your order on-line, by phone or email. When you arrive for your session you grab an apron, wash your hands and receive your list of entrees you have pre-selected. List in hand you are ready to head to your first station – you will find the recipe and all of the ingredients to assemble your first meal, which will go into a convenient zip loc baggie or a freezer safe aluminum pan. After completing your first entrée, move around the kitchen station to station (enjoying a beverage and a tasty snack along the way) until all 12 of your tasty meals are packaged and ready to go in your freezer ( 1 meal takes up about the same amount of space as a case of soda). At home post the handy check off list on your refrigerator to plan when you want to prepare your Best Friend meals and to know what you have left in your freezer. At home, thaw your dinner and prepare as directed by the sticker on the package. It’s that simple!

Where are you located? What is the best way to get there?
We are located at 1507 Tennessee Avenue (Highway 390) in Lynn Haven. Coming from 23rd Street take Jenks to Hwy 390. Go north on 390 past Mowat Middle School. My Best Friend’s Kitchen is about 1 mile past Mowat on the right in the same plaza as the Family Dollar Store and Step Ahead Cosmetology School. Call us at 850-248-6238 for directions from other locations.

How do I sign up?
Register for a session on our user-friendly web site. Look at our calendars to pick a session that fits your schedule. When you join us at My Best Friend's Kitchen we will have everything ready for you to prepare your meals. If you prefer, you can register by phone.

What is a session?
A session is a 2 hour block of time scheduled just for you to prepare your meals. No waiting, no stress. We have sessions scheduled for a variety of times to meet the busiest of schedules. A session can accommodate up to 12 people rotating among our 15 recipe stations. If our session times don’t work for you let us know. Please call us at 850-248-6238 with your input – remember we’re here to help you.

Can I get My Best Friend’s Kitchen take out or do I have to order in advance?
In order for us to remain cost effective and affordable, we require a reservation at least 48 hours in advance but if you want to stop by on short notice, give us a call and see if we have an opening. We can’t make any promises but your Best Friend will do everything we can to accommodate. We also have assembled entrees already in the freezer available for sale individually.

What if I don’t have time to attend a session or can’t get off work to pick up my meals?
If you can’t find time to attend a session we understand and you know your Best Friend can help you out. Call or order on line and our staff will prepare, package and label your meals ready for you to pick up or we will deliver it to you for a small fee. Once you’ve placed your order call us for pick up time. When you come in to pick up your meals bring a cooler or basket to transport your month’s supply of meals. If your meals are to be delivered, sit back and wait for them to arrive.

Do I have to get all 12 entrees?
The full session of 12 is our most popular and economical product; however, we also offer a sampler pack of 6 entrees. The fun and popular way to buy fewer than 12 entrees at a time is to split your order with a friend and each take home 6.

If I only want to buy 3 entrees, what is the price?
Our minimum is 6. We suggest you split a sampler pack with a friend and each take home 3.

Defrosting and cooking your meals at home
Each My Best Friend’s Kitchen entrée has detailed instructions on how to defrost and prepare your meal at home.

Is it expensive?
Not at all. Each meal costs between $3 -$4 per serving. That is less than fast food. The food is much healthier and you have a meal at home the entire family can enjoy.

Are the meals easy to prepare at home?
Very easy! Each meal comes with its own instructions for cooking at home. Preparation varies from oven to cook top or crock pot to grill.

Do I need to bring anything with me when I come for my session?
The only thing you need to bring is a smile and something to carry your meals home. A cooler, an insulated bag or even a laundry basket will work. We provide large carry bags but if you are not going straight home, a large cooler is suggested.

How are the dinners packaged?
Some dinners come in foil pans and many items are packaged in resealable freezer bags. All items come with easy to follow instructions right on the package.

Will I have room in my freezer for 12 meals?
Absolutely! 12 Best Friend meals take up approximately the same amount of space as a case of soda.

Reschedule, cancellation policy
Because we shop and chop just for you we ask for a 24 hour notice if you need to reschedule. Please call, we will do everything we can to accommodate any changes you need to make.

Private Parties
The kitchen has always been a gathering spot for friends and My Best Friend's Kitchen is no different. So call your friends to plan a Best Friend private party. You do the inviting and we do the rest, from slicing, dicing, and shopping to clean up. Bring meal time back to the table of friends who are just as busy as you are.

Private sessions require a minimum of 9 participants. The number of participants determines the hostesses discount:

• 11 guests + hostess = Free session for hostess
• 10 guests + hostess = 83% off full session price for hostess
• 9 guests + hostess = 75% off full session price for hostess
• 8 guests + hostess = 68% off full session price for hostess

Have a smaller family, single, couple?
Is a meals that serves 4 – 6 too much food? Because you do your own assembly, you have the option to choose full or half size containers. Each half size portion serves 2 – 3 adults… just split it… you go home with 24 small meals instead of 12 larger meals. The cost is the same and you go home with the perfect size. Not all menu items can be split but you may not want to split all of your items so you can serve some to company or take them to a party.

Do you have dinners for one person?
No. You can package your dinners full-size, each service 6 adults, or in half-size for 3 people. Our meals are great for left-overs or late-night snacks.
